| FreeThis course will increase your understanding of disasters, risk assessment in the context of disaster management, prevailing emergency management procedures and operations and the different vulnerability factors that exist within you local community. Become familiar with the available resources for natural disaster preparedness and planning. Learn how to recognize and define the roles and responsibilities that may be expected to be assumed by a community leader and understand the roles that first responders and other support personnel are likely to assume to ensure primary assistance in the response and recovery phase of an emergency event.
